Q: What are your responsibilities?
A. I manage and supervise national brands; this includes overseeing social media campaigns from creation to execution, driving follower growth for my brands, and creating integrated social strategies for each individual brand.
Q: Give us a little background on how you got into the industry?
A. I’ve always had a passion for social media and trending topics, so working with social media always stuck out to me.
Q: What brought you to Intermark, and how did you get started in your current position?
A. I had heard of Intermark from a few friends and had seen them at a career fair at Auburn. When I moved back to Birmingham, they were the first agency that I reached out to!
Q: What’s your favorite part about what you do?
A. I love working with Jack’s! Their brand voice is super southern and always fun. That account allows me to be playful and tune into trending topics on social media.
Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?
A. The most challenging thing about my job, which also happens to be my favorite thing, is keeping up with the fast-paced environment at Intermark. Things can change at the drop of a hat, and you’ve got to be ready to change gears and switch mindsets super quickly.
Q: Do you have a favorite project that Intermark has worked on in the past?
A. I really enjoyed getting to see a full campaign cycle with Alabama Tourism. From the planning all the way to the execution of big activations in New York City, there was always something exciting happening. It also helped me get to know the state I live in- crazy to think you can live here your whole life and still not know much about it!
Q: Are you seeing any new trends in the media/marketing industry?
A. Bigger and bolder brands are taking over the social media space. If your brand isn’t cheeky or calling out another brand- good luck getting any social attention. (example: Wendy’s… no one is safe with them!)
A. I love to dance! I have danced my entire life. I will take any dance class I can sign myself up for. I’m in adult tap classes, choreograph for local high schools, judge competitions, teach lessons and still participate in the Alumni Show with the Auburn Dance line every year!
Q: Family, pets?
A. My mom and dad live in a loft downtown, and they keep me young- I swear they are cooler than I am. If you can’t find me, I’m probably at a concert with them. No pets… yet. ?
Q: What is the quote on your nameplate?
A. “Believe in yourself, dream, try, do good” – Mr. Feeny
